With the addition of attorney and Retired Senior District Judge Chris Oldner, Albin Law Group is now Albin Oldner Law, PLLC. Joining the firm as an equity partner, Oldner brings years of experience in both leadership and law to the firm, furthering its mission to create and achieve practical and cost-effective legal solutions for clients.

Frisco, Texas – March 10, 2020 – Recently, Albin Law Group became Albin Oldner Law, PLLC, with the addition of attorney and Retired Senior District Judge Chris Oldner. Oldner is Board Certified in both Family Law and Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Beyond his certification, Oldner holds the unique distinction of not having a single criminal case ruling overturned during his tenure on the bench.

Oldner spent his entire career inside courtrooms. After starting out as a prosecutor in the district attorney’s office, he served three years as the first judge of Collin County Court at Law 5 before being appointed by the governor to be the first judge of the 416th Judicial District Court in 2003.

Dedicated to the protection and well-being of children, Oldner served as the co-chair of the Judicial Disproportionality Workgroup for the Supreme Court of Texas Permanent Commission for Children, Youth, and Families’ Court Improvement Project. He was also a member of the Texas Center for the Judiciary’s Children’s Justice Act Task Force.

In 2016, Oldner was elected as the chair of the State Bar of Texas Judicial Section. He also served as a member of the Board of Governors of the American Judges Association, the College of the State Bar of Texas, and is a fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation.

Oldner is the proud recipient of a Mari Kay Bickett Judicial Excellence Through Education Award, the Exemplary Judicial Faculty Award from Texas Center for the Judiciary, and a State Bar of Texas Presidential Commendation.
