Postpone, Don’t Cancel – Change The Dates From Basic Invite

Basic Invite, a leader in online stationery, launches a line of change the date cards in response to overwhelming wedding postponements caused in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

President Trump earlier this month requested to limit social gathering to fewer groups less than ten. As well as three states have issued a shelter order, many engaged couples have had no other choice but to postpone their weddings due to venues canceling, etc.

In this challenging time, we want to make notifying friends and loved ones of the wedding date change as easy and possible.  Said, CMO Eric Mortensen.

How Change The Date Cards are Different From Save The Dates

White glove delivery

We will not only print your guest’s addresses on your envelopes but will stuff, stamp and mail your change the dates directly to your guests, so if you are not able to leave your home, you can still get the message out.

Additional Wording Space

Unlike a traditional save the date, we have added extra space on the card so that you can include a personal message to your guests, letting them know the situation and that you are looking forward to getting together on the new date or even a new location.

The new change the date cards are a 4.25″ x 5.5″ card design that makes it the perfect size and price to announce the new date. Each Basic Invite order is shipped via USPS, so they will be delivered to your guests even if your guest is located in shelter locations.  The average delivery time is 5-7 business days for your guests to receive the cards in the mail.
