Former Mayor of Sugar Land David Wallace’s New Books

January 19, 2021 – Sugar Land, TX – The former mayor of Sugar Land, Mr. David Wallace has been hard at work since he left office. Since leaving in 2008, David Wallace of Sugar Land has published 2 books. The first one was called One Nation Under Blog: Forget the Facts. Believe What I Say! Which you can get more information about David and his book here. The second one was titled Retail Development Through Public-Private Partnerships, which can be found along with notes from David here. However, it is the latest one that is sparking the public’s interest.

Shame Happens is a book the former Mayor of Sugar Land plans to publish soon. This speaks about the hardships of being a victim of cancel culture in today’s world. It’s not just the book that David Wallace will release but a whole platform that helps those that have been targeted by the media or wrongly shamed online. The Shame Happens Forum’s focus will be to be a community where people can come together and speak out about their experiences and how they overcame being a victim of cancel culture.

What is Cancel Culture?

For those that are unaware of the word “cancel culture” or online shaming, it has become a widespread problem in today’s world. Cancel culture is a modern form of ostracism in which someone is thrust out of social or professional circles – either online on social media, in the real world, or both. Those who are subject to this ostracism are said to be “canceled.”

About David Wallace

David has much experience when it comes to being the target of Public Shaming. In 2012, David suffered a public as well as a personal setback while in the middle of helping develop the downtown of Waco, TX, Amarillo, TX, and Joplin, MO. Due to this, him and his family were targeted by the media and shamed online which led to additional personal and financial setbacks. David set out to tell his story, and the story of others, who have had their lives ruined by our current “cancel culture”.
