Any Day Ballet – Learn From Home Releases Beginning Ballet Lesson Video Course For Ages 55 and Up

Instructional videos perfect for beginning and returning ballet students desiring safe, carefully paced home instruction.

February 4, 2021 – Any Day Ballet has released a new beginning ballet course designed especially for ages 55 and above. The video course consists of 12 on-demand videos, including six highly detailed beginning ballet instructional lessons and six practice session videos to help build muscle memory once the concepts are understood. Elizabeth Chayer, age sixty-three, leads the classes and is the founder and director of the American Dance Institute in Seattle, Washington.

Chayer produced this educational series specifically for those who are new to ballet or returning after a long hiatus and are more at risk from COVID, making trips to the gym or dance studio impossible. Students can take the course from home without any special equipment; the only things needed are comfortable clothes and the top of a chair, kitchen countertop, or bureau to use as a ballet barre.

Younger adults can significantly benefit from this course, especially from the barre work; the lessons do not include big traveling jumps across the floor. While most younger students want big jumps included, many older folks are limited in how much jumping they can do, making this course ideal for seniors.

“There is no shortage of free online videos claiming to teach beginning ballet; most aren’t very practical. These video classes are often fraught with ad banners that pop up at the most inopportune times, blocking the screen, interrupting class during crucial moments. In many cases, these videos demonstrate individual dance steps rather than leading a formal class for true beginners. On the other hand, Any Day Ballet will help new adult, and senior dancers get started from square one, featuring fun, detailed lessons that build on each previous class.”

“More than anything,” says Chayer, “we want to help adults and seniors keep fit and discover a love of ballet, all from the safety and convenience of their home.”

For a limited time, Any Day Ballet offers a free trial of the first 1-hour video class here: https://americandance.kartra.com/page/ADBW50TFB.
