Impact Network – The Only African-American Owned Television Network Continues To Achieve Bigger Milestones And Intends To Become Better In The Future

The Impact Network in the year 2021 intends to uplift urban communities through educating, enriching, empowering, and engaging the people through the power of television.

Established in 2010, Impact Network is currently the only African American-owned television network. It is the place for growth, hope, and change. The Impact Network is designed to inspire, inform, and uplift the spirit, soul, and body of its viewers. They aim to provide the viewers with inspiring entertainment that impacts their life in every way that includes spiritually, physically, financially, mentally, and emotionally.

The Impact Network broadcasts to 90 million homes in America, the Bahamas, and parts of Africa. It is available on DirecTV, Comcast Xfinity, Charter Spectrum, Verizon Fios, Frontier Cable, Cable Bahamas, and Altice USA with international distribution in the Bahamian Islands and parts of Africa. Content on the network consists of positive imagery, themes and, narratives that uplift and empower African American and urban audiences through inspirational, informative, faith-based, and family-oriented subjects.

Impact network was founded by Bishop Wayne T. & Dr. Beverly Y. Jackson, a husband-and-wife duo who has served their local society in Detroit for over 30 years as faith leaders, entrepreneurs, and humanitarians. Their idea behind making Impact Network was to uplift the urban community by blending the worlds of faith, lifestyle, community, and culture to impact their spiritual, emotional, social, and financial well-being. He and his wife have opened several business ventures. They are parents to nine children, multiple grandchildren.

When asked about his intention behind establishing Impact Network he said that, “My wife and I along with many others feel that it is important for blacks to have ownership, especially when it comes to media and the messages that influence our communities. We celebrate all cultures and all people, but Impact is a direct expression of our culture from the black inspirational perspective. Impact’s vision is to uplift people by giving them a positive vision of who they are, what they can do and who they can become, beginning first with spiritual awareness, and allowing the transformation to go from there.”

In 2021, Impact Network intends to change the perspective of the Black Community. It will focus on solutions to the problems faced by the communities. This year Impact Network is using its platform to organize and assemble the African-American Community and communities of color to take a stand against Covid-19 through proper understanding and action. Beyond the vaccine itself, there are logistical and transmission hurdles that stand in the way of proper contact and information to inspire the African American Community to overcome this deadly and incapacitating disease. The Impact Network seeks to address real solutions through televised town halls, informative on-air messaging, dedicated online resources, and strategic partnerships.

Impact Network will continue to provide the best services to their customers and the viewers will continue to experience their favorite faith-based leaders, including Reverand. Al Sharpton, Dr. Bobby Jones, Creflo Dollar, and T.D. Jakes. The Network will feature New Town Halls, music, daytime talk, and docu-series.
