Homestead Buildings & Sheds is a rapidly growing family-owned business in Danville, Virginia. They started as a small Amish building and sheds shop at the end of a two-mile dirt road and have now grown to build sheds out of the largest shed shop on the east coast, delivering and setting up custom sheds in Virginia and North Carolina.
Since their first shed commission in 1994 from their small shop in Blanch, North Carolina, the Lowder family has been blessed with more than 25 years of happy customers. The six sons in the family have been trained from a young age to start every day bright and early, working on excellently designed sheds. The road to where they are right now was as bumpy as the two-mile dirt road of their beginnings, but they are grateful today to be able to build their customers’ sheds out of the largest shop in the Eastern United States.
“A lot has changed since we started. We’re no longer Amish, but we haven’t forgotten our roots. And the things that matter most haven’t changed a bit. God and family still come first in our lives, and when it comes to business, the customer still comes first. Treating people the way we want to be treated is still our motto. Each shed that leaves through the front gate is still built with the same quality and care as our first order,” stated Mr. Lowder, of Homestead Buildings & Sheds.
At the present, Homestead Buildings & Sheds offers shed designs in various sizes and models, including Homestead tool sheds, Utility and Deluxe Sheds in A-Frame and High Barn style, Heavy-Duty Garages, Vinyl-sided Buildings, and Homestead Cabins in both A-Frame and High Barn style.
The Lowder family never imagined that their small shed shop would grow to this degree, but they are thankful for every one of their customers who helped them along the way. They strive to keep providing their customers not only with great quality sheds but also with a great experience that leaves them happy to have joined the Homestead family.
