Junior Sandoval Poised to Join MLS

Las Vegas, Nevada – Major League Soccer (MLS) is readying their 26th season amid a global pandemic but nevertheless expanding adding new teams and players to the franchise. 

The 2021 season includes the addition of Austin FC making it the 27th team in the league. Insiders are also revealing that veteran Honduran star Junior Sandoval is poised to sign a contract with one of the newer teams days leading to opening day.

Junior Sandoval has a long history in US professional soccer spanning from coast to coast. Sandoval was a star player Las Vegas Lights FC and a captain with the Puerto Rico Islanders.   A national star player since college having made the NJCAA All Region First Team, Sandoval has been on the list of various MLS teams for the upcoming season.

Most recently during his time with United Soccer League (USL), Sandoval was a constant presence in the Goal of the Week and Goal of the Month features.

Sandoval has tried out for FC Dallas, Las Vegas Lights among others. Sandoval is well-regarded in the sport having been student of US’ greatest coaches including Frank Yallop and Tony Meola.

The first game of the 2021 MLS season starts April 17.
