Orlando, FL – Women’s soccer has advanced by leap and bounds in recent years seeking to match the status of men’s in international competitions. The Peruvian coach Ytalo Rodulfo Manzo has been a protagonist in the development of women’s football in Latin America, achieving important milestones that has led him to be considered a pioneer of woman’ soccer in Latin America.

After having a stellar career as a player himself, Ytalo hung up his boots to dedicate himself to the training and projection of female soccer players. With a methodology focused on European and Iberoamerican form of play, Manzo has created a futbol that has seen teams from Colombia, Peru, Chile and Argentina reach world elite status.

His proudest accomplishment has been as head coach of the women’s national team of him country Peru.  Peru has become the first female national team to count on having its own stadium and full technical director staff making it only the third Latin American female futbol team do so. Ytalo has garnered the respect for female futbol evident in the commercial success of Peru’s femal league which in 2022 has more viewers than any other sport besides men’s soccer.

Ytalo’s accomplishments are supported by an extensive curriculum of training carried out in the top soccer institutions such as CONMEBOL and FIFA. Manzo studied at the Peruvian Soccer Federation and the Peruvian Sports Institute. Peru’s women national team would not have been able to reach one of the most important competitions on the continent without the magic at the helm of the bench, with a well-structured game doctrine Manzo led his team to the Copa América in Chile in 2018.

Manzo designed a kind of selection process that consists of national tours to capture the talent of the athletes and then enhance it with his techniques, which is why he has become one of the most influential coaches in the continent due to his success. In 2020 he was a fundamental part of the coaching staff of the Club Sporting Cristal women’s professional team as the second in command of the squad and was also in charge of preparing the institution’s goalkeepers.

“Ytalo is an extremely effective athlete trainer and soccer methodologist, his ability to build an elite female team has benn lauded do to the great result his players demonstrate in international competition which is often on par with any all men team,” said Argentine soccer expert Eduardo Frisicaro.

In March 2023 Ytalo is in Orlando, Florida recruiting and scouting female players for top Latin American clubs.
