Pain Academy Launches Newest Version of Online Program to Revolutionize Movement Therapy

Pain Academy’s groundbreaking new online program helps people worldwide move and feel better right at home.

People generally think that body pain is normal and that it is typical to have aches and pains sometimes due to aging and other medical conditions. What not many people realize is that it is not normal. Body pain is the accumulation of all the ways people moved incorrectly over the years, according to Pain Academy founder Vinny Crispino. Pain Academy revolutionizes movement therapy by helping people reclaim the ease of movement, especially after an injury or during pain management. The company recently launched the newest version of its online program.

“We’re so excited to share it with the world. We have members worldwide learning how to move and feel better in the comfort of their own homes. This new program version dynamically adapts to suit what helps people move and feel better. It’s brilliant, innovative, and deeply rooted in the science of biomechanics and corrective exercise,” Vinny said.

According to Vinny, body pain stems from years of moving out of balance. When some muscles stop working properly due to lack of proper use, it forces other muscles to pick up the extra work. This over time shifts how the body distributes tension and force. With enough time, these imbalances cause parts of the body to experience significantly more wear and tear.

As imbalance builds up with our movement patterns, it pushes the body closer and closer to its threshold of what it can handle. Eventually, even the simplest movements can become painful because the body is at it’s limit of how it’s working.

When people visit their doctors or therapists to treat pain for a specific part of the body, therapists will typically address just the specific body part in pain or discomfort. The area in pain usually becomes the “fall guy” and the greater problem is often overlooked. Pain Academy is different in that we treat the entire body holistically. We look at how the entire body is moving, or in many cases is not moving, that creates these issues in the first place – and we help people do this all in the comfort of their own home.

The first step in Pain Academy’s program is to assess what’s causing the body’s chronic pain. Their Pain Assessment Toolkit focuses on three main problems that happen in people’s bodies.

The first problem is movement patterns. Consider people who stay in unhealthy and unnatural positions every day until their bodies weaken in some parts and get overworked in others. They then take their faulty movement patterns into their other activities, causing further breakdown.

The second problem is when pain is normalized. Oftentimes when these movement problems have been around long enough, most people become desensitized to what is actually happening with their movement. Imbalance becomes the norm. This usually causes people to miss the root problem because they can no longer feel it.

The last problem is a person’s thought patterns. How they navigate, respond, and relate to all of the sensations their body is giving them can either guide them out of the problem they want to resolve, or keep them trapped in a vicious cycle for years.

To target these 3 problems, Pain Academy’s Tool Kit includes movement assessments to show people what they aren’t feeling as well as extensive training in how to understand what their body is doing.

Each test requires patients to take a photo, assess what their body is doing so they can understand how it impacts the way they move and feel. We then use this information that is collected to help people develop a strategy and plan that will yield results.

Once this step is completed, patients can then enroll in Pain Academy’s online Movement Program, where they can learn exercises, positions, and techniques that will ease their pain and restore their ability to move dynamically.
