“Time-Share Bandits”: A Comedy Short Film launches Kickstarter Campaign

Now Seeking Community Support via Kickstarter, This Comedy Short Film has a Very Interesting Story about Senior Citizens Dodging the ‘Sales Pitch’!

“Time-Share Bandits” is an upcoming comedy short film of about 10 minutes, and it covers a very interesting topic. Senior citizens in America and around the world sometimes become victims of a high-pressure “sales pitch” and can end up wasting a lot of time and money. In the film, retired actors Ernie and Beth Berthelot sharpen their skills by “performing” their way out of the sales pitch – after the free gourmet lunch. Their antics might range from acute narcolepsy, to allergic reactions. To pay for the film’s production, its creators recently launched a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter, and they are welcoming generous community support and backing. The 30-day, “all-or-nothing” campaign ends Oct. 27, 2022, so time is vital.

“This 10-minute short film is basically a comedy that skewers those high-pressure sales seminars that sometimes target senior citizens,” said Victor Hollingsworth, the president and CEO of Speed Monkey Studios & Evangeline Films, while introducing this project to the Kickstarter community. According to the award-winning filmmaker, the film’s stars are Ron and Phyllis Cutrera, a real-life couple from South Louisiana in their 80s.

The Kickstarter Campaign is located on the web at:

www.kickstarter.com/projects/victorhollingsworth/time-share-bandits and backers from around the world can become a part of this project by making pledges and donations – some of them as low as $1. The goal of this Kickstarter campaign is to raise US $12,500. The filmmaker is offering a plethora of great rewards for backers, including signed photos, names in the end credits, and digital links to the completed film and five previous Speed Monkey/Evangeline Films shorts. More details are available on the Kickstarter campaign page of the project.
