Veronica Rodriguez Pellegrini to Perform “Buleria” at Coca-Cola Music Hall in San Juan

Puerto Rico Symphony violinist and composer to perform with flamenco legends Lolita, Rosario Flores, and Antonio Carmona.

On Friday, December 16, the Coca-Cola Music Hall in San Juan will host the concert “El abrazo del Flamenco al Tango,” featuring renowned flamenco artists Lolita, Rosario Flores, and Antonio Carmona. The concert will also include “Buleria,” a quintet for flute and string quartet composed by Puerto Rico Symphony violinist and composer Veronica Rodriguez Pellegrini.

Born in Spain, Rodriguez Pellegrini has been a member of several orchestras, including the New World Symphony, the Extremadura Symphony, and the Orchestra of Radio and TV of Spain. Her compositions have been performed in cities across the globe, including Madrid, Philadelphia, Miami, Tampa, and the United Kingdom. She has also been featured in the Festival Casals and Festival Cellistiko in Puerto Rico.

The style of “Bulería” is a fast, rhythmic, flamenco instrumental with classical instruments. The performance will be a special event, as Rodriguez Pellegrini will share the stage with some of the biggest names in the flamenco world, including Lolita, Rosario Flores, and Antonio Carmona. The concert, titled “El abrazo del Flamenco al Tango,” will include Rodriguez Pellegrini’s composition due to its Spanish origins and flamenco style. It will be performed by an ensemble consisting of Jonathan Figueroa on flute, Fermin Segarra on violin, Rodriguez Pellegrini on violin, Edgardo Rosaly on viola, and Luis Miguel Rojas on violoncello.

“I am incredibly excited to have my composition included in this concert,” said Rodriguez Pellegrini. “I have been a fan of Lolita, Rosario, and Antonio since I was a teenager, and to be able to perform on stage with them is a dream come true.”

The concert, which will also include traditional flamenco and tango pieces, is set to begin at 8:00 PM on December 16 at the Coca-Cola Music Hall. Tickets are available for purchase online and at the box office.
