Cincinnati Native’s Brilliant Performance Brings Home Prized Top 10 Finish At The Miss America Competition

Miss Ohio 2022, Elizabetta Nies, was the youngest contestant in the national Miss America pageant at the Mohegan Sun last week and walked away with a top 10 placement. She took the audience’s breath away with her classsical Chopin piano performance, as well with as her grace and authenticity. As a first-time candidate, she competed courageously at the highest caliber, with the majority of other contestants having previously represented their state at a national teen competition with years of experience.

Miss America is the nation’s largest provider of scholarships; and over 30,000 women competed for a spot on the national stage. “It was an experience of a lifetime! I am leaving with a best friend in every state, and grateful to have stood on stage with some of the most excellent young women in the country”

Elizabetta now returns to Cincinnati, where she will finish out her reign as Miss Ohio. She will continue carrying forward her initiative, called Project Purpose, with the mission of simplifying self-improvement through free, research-backed tools and partnerships to unlock potential of individuals and organizations alike.

As she explained during the “Social Impact Pitch” component of last week’s competition, Project Purpose is an initiative she created to “make self-development do-able for anyone, anywhere”. She has already reached over 4 million people in 58 countries, delivering a set of tools such as interactive goal-setting workshops and over 1,000 free journaling templates to help people at all levels to dream, define, and design their lives.

Now from the foundation of her work in the Buckeye State, she will be striving in 2023 to extend the reach of her program to guide more to reach their purpose and potential!
