About the Book

Beneath the shimmering veneer of contemporary New York City, thirteen-year-old Frank Sunborn harbors desires simple in nature yet potent in their intensity. Just another urban soul yearning for the thrill of adventure, the pulse of fun, and the alluring gaze of enchanting girls. His world takes an unexpected turn as he vies for the affection of a certain schoolgirl, only to cross paths with an intriguing, enigmatic young girl.

This newcomer, Cindy Condor, appears not more than a girl, yet she holds centuries of knowledge within her youthful visage. A 150-year-old vampire masquerading as an ordinary girl, she conceals beneath her innocence the might of an unworldly existence.

Frank, torn apart by a friendship that promised much but delivered naught, and scarred by encounters with the feared school tormentor, finds in Cindy an unexpected ally and confidante. However, he remains blissfully oblivious to the fact that she’s beyond the realm of mortality. When the veil of ignorance is finally lifted, and her true nature is revealed, Frank stands at a crossroads of decision. Shall he sever ties with Cindy, or delve deeper into the mystery she represents?

Bewitched by her vampiric charisma and stirred by the respect she offers him as a mortal, Frank surrenders to a love beyond the ordinary. As he consents to become her source of sustenance, he steps over the threshold into a cryptic realm, one inhabited by nightwalkers, ageless entities who have shadowed mankind since time immemorial.

A tale that unfolds through the perspectives of two captivating protagonists, it is a chilling exploration of love and danger, of friendship and betrayal, and an unravelling of a reality much darker than it appears.
