About The Author:
Jennifer Hashmi was born in Bradford in 1938. She received her education from Bingley Grammar School and trained as a speech therapist at Leicester School of Speech Therapy. After three years of practicing as a speech therapist in Yorkshire, she pursued a two-year theology course at the College of Ascension, Birmingham.
In 1964, she embarked on a life-changing journey to India, where she lived mainly in Delhi for forty-one years. During this time, she served in the Church of North India as a Parish Worker and also managed a holiday home in Shimla. In 1977, she married Salman Hashmi, the principal of Zakir Husain College, University of Delhi, and had two children.
After her husband’s passing in 2004, Jennifer Hashmi returned to Britain with her daughter at the end of 2005 and now resides in London with her daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren. Her life experiences and love for storytelling are reflected in her books, making them a must-read for book lovers.
