ESOGA and Louisiana Soccer Association Join Forces for an Exciting Partnership

Esports and Online Gaming Association (ESOGA), a prominent advocate for youth esports and online gaming, is proud to announce its newest partnership with the Louisiana Soccer Association (LSA). This union marks another milestone in uniting traditional sports with the rapidly growing esports community. It follows the recently announced partnerships between ESOGA and New Mexico Youth Soccer Association and South Texas Youth Soccer Association.

ESOGA’s arrangement with the LSA promises to create unique opportunities for youth engagement, expanding LSA’s reach to include youth participants who may be interested in non-traditional sports. The centerpiece of this partnership is the highly anticipated “LSA Esports Holiday Cup” tournament, which will feature the popular game, Rocket League™, and will be delivered in collaboration with the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.  The tournament is open to current LSA player-members and their friends.

Key Highlights of the Partnership:

LSA Esports Holiday Cup: The partnership kicks off with the “LSA Esports Holiday Cup,” a thrilling esports tournament featuring Rocket League™, designed to bring youth from the soccer and gaming communities together during the holiday season.

University of Louisiana at Lafayette Collaboration: This tournament will be hosted and broadcast live in collaboration with the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in their newly dedicated Ragin’ Cajuns Esports facility. Players will have the opportunity to learn more about competitive collegiate esports including potential scholarship opportunities at UL Lafayette.

Youth Engagement: ESOGA and the Louisiana Soccer Association are dedicated to nurturing youth engagement in both traditional sports and esports. This partnership aims to offer young athletes and gamers the chance to explore their passions, build new skills, and connect with peers in an inclusive and exciting environment.

“Together with LSA, we aim to inspire young athletes and gamers across Louisiana, fostering a sense of unity and excitement that bridges the gap between the soccer field and the gaming arena.”

Nate Parent, CEO, ESOGA

“LSA is excited to join with ESOGA and Ragin’ Cajuns Esports for our upcoming LSA Esports Holiday Cup featuring Rocket League ™. This will bring a whole new dimension for our players. The opportunity for all players to interact in the gaming community will be a first for LSA.”

Kay Briggs, Chief Administrative Officer, Louisiana Soccer Association

“Community involvement within the gaming world is an important factor within the Esports ecosphere. UL Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns Esports is excited to partner with LSA and ESOGA to provide opportunities for our youth and young adults to excel and broaden their experiences in the gaming ecosphere in a safe and self-enriching environment.”
