Mubert.com, an AI-powered music startup that has been in the market since 2017 and has successfully implemented a slew of creative features for creators, musicians, and business owners, enters the market with a new function — image-to-music.
It is as simple as that: a user uploads an image on the website, Mubert analyzes it and makes a track based on the information gleaned from the image. No other AI music project has ever provided such a function.
The image-to-music feature is especially useful for social media content makers who are always looking for new ways to express themselves and share their unique viewpoints with their audience.
For the time being, they can use the image-to-music feature in a variety of ways: creating soundtracks for memorable moments in life or for YouTube channels based on the background image; generating music for NFT or Midjourney-generated digital art; adding sounds to AI-generated selfies created with Fotor, Facetune, Gradient, and so on. And the possibilities are endless. Any image or photo can serve as inspiration.
Many AI adopters, artists, and even investors have already tested Mubert’s image-to-music feature and shared their results with the community. To mention some of them, Justine Moore, a partner at Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) VC firm specialising in AI investments, posted on Twitter the image soundtracked with Mubert’s feature and said she was “impressed” by technology’s capacity. Also, Kris Kashtanova, known as @icreatelife, an AI expert with 90k+ followers on Twitter, shared a futuristic look at her favourite location, New York Central Park, accompanied by a soundtrack generated with the help of Mubert.
This is simply the beginning of Mubert’s new feature set. The most intriguing aspect is that the company is open to user feedback. It promises to introduce novel features as AI music fans request additional particular functions and share their ideas with the product team. The founders feel this is the best method to make progress that will benefit everyone who believes in the convergence of music and AI.
Mubert has previously successfully developed the text-to-music feature. The team encourages everyone to utilise it so that the development team can collect as much data as possible to improve generation results. For the time being, people can use the feature for free, but it is expected that it will soon be offered only in the premium option.
One of the features that has been developed based on user feedback is the plugin for Adobe Premiere and After Effects, which allows instant music generation right in the editing software. Users can save time and simplify their content creation routine with this amazing tool.
The project has so far raised $2.2 million for its initiatives.
Alex Mubert, Founder and co-CEO at Mubert:
“With this new function, we hope to enable those who appreciate AI music, use it for content production, or for their enterprises with a previously unavailable possibility — employing images instead of prompts to achieve innovative, programmable, and imaginative results.”
Paul Zgordan, co-Founder and co-CEO at Mubert:
“As AI music is now at the center of the debate, we recognize that it is our job to provide a good example for our colleagues in the music industry. To show how we may both speed innovation and respect the rights of the music industry’s most crucial members – artists. This is a difficult challenge, but we uphold our commitment with each new feature we offer.”
