CDM Dance & Music Promotes Awareness on the Benefits, Advantages of Art & Dance on Kids’ Development

Dance studio also offers virtual dance and music classes for children and their parents.

While the current global pandemic has caused their area in Ontario, Canada to be put in lockdown, CDM Dance & Music continues to support keeping dance studios open while following strict safety protocols. They are doing their part to curb the spread of COVID-19 by offering virtual dance and music classes for parents and their children while they await the re-opening of their dance studio.

Throughout history, music and dance have remained a key component of culture and self-expression. Arts Health focuses on promoting positive well-being and health for participants through music and dance. Studies have shown that the routine, discipline and work ethic involved in dance help kids build self-reliance, as well as self-confidence.

In an age when suicide and depression among teenagers is high due to the pandemic, parents can do the right thing for their kids by taking advantage of the virtual classes that CDM has to offer. These classes help provide children with proper exercise, and also give their confidence a boost through highly enriching art forms such as dance and music.

CDM Dance & Music currently offers virtual Acrobatic dance examinations by Acrobatic Arts that allow children to participate from the comfort and safety of their own home. CDM music student Arushi Das will be taking her Level 9 RCM (Royal Conservatory of Music) Practical Examination, and entering into the Kiwanis Festival music competition through virtual means as well.
