Luna Antonia Arboleda Highlighting a New Short Film

One of the Top Rising Stars, She Is a Talented Actor and Filmmaker Alike

July 4, 2019 – New York – Actress Luna Antonia Arboleda is at the start of her career as an actress and is one of the best rising stars out there today. She is also a talented filmmaker who has recently finished her first short film.

Luna Antonia Arboleda is originally from Germany and moved to London for a bit before finally moving to New York. She studied acting at the prestigious New School For Drama. Before then, she studied in London and trained in performing Shakespeare and other classical texts in theatre studies.

While in New York, she has participated in work with The Wooster Group, a prominent experimental theater company. The company features many regular performers, including Frances McDormand and Maura Tierney.

She has worked on two major productions in recent time. First, she has finished her short film entitled She Moves Me. The film was inspired by the Jill Soloway television show of the same name, which itself is based on the Chris Kraus book I Love Dick. After seeing Soloway’s work, Arboleda wanted to make a unique production of her own. She responded with a distinct short film heavily inspired by the work that Soloway has produced.

Arboleda’s She Moves Me short film is the unique connection that she has to Soloway’s work and how the production has inspired her and influenced many other women to live their lives to the fullest. Arboleda even sent her film to Jill Soloway herself. But as it turns out, the work wasn’t necessarily a love letter to the series, but one to Arboleda herself. The influence that the series has had on her life has proven to be critical to her life and the general positivity that she is aiming to have.

The other big production Arboleda has been working on is her work in the feature film Lo Que Algunos Soñaron, a film from Mexican director Michel Franco. The film will make its premiere at the 2020 Cannes Film Festival.

Luna Antonia Arboleda is currently promoting her work online at She also has her short film She Moves Me available to watch on Vimeo.
