Dato Sri Nicky Liow Soon Hee contributes 2.5mil masks to assist the Government of Malaysia to combat the COVID-19 outbreak

Dato Sri Liow Soon Hee chairman from WINNER Dynasty Group Sdn Bhd donated 1.5 mils face masks to 20 News Media group to support media personnel during the movement control order (MCO).

Winner Dynasty Group chairman Datuk Seri Liow Soon Hee said it was important to recognise the work of media personnel in reporting the Covid-19 pandemic.

“We realise that media practitioners are one of the frontliners in our country’s fight against Covid-19. “We are concerned for their safety and want to show our appreciation,” said Liow.

Apart from Malaysia, the group also donated masks each to several other media organisations in China.

This marked the second phase of face mask distribution by Winner Dynasty Group in Malaysia.

Winner Dynasty Group Sdn Bhd (WDG) remains committed to assist the Government of Malaysia in combat the COVID-19 outbreak.

Winner Dynasty Group Sdn Bhd, an investment management company through Chairman, Dato ‘Sri Liow Soon Hee, is among the earliest corporate companies to respond to His Majesty KBDYMM and the Malaysian Government’s call to assist the Malaysia Ministry of Health to work together to combat COVID-19.

Prior to the COVID-19 outbreak, recognized as ‘Pendamic’ by the United Nations World Health Organization (WHO) the virus that began in the Wuhan region of China, WDG in the spirit of friends and business partners to help them from WUHAN, contributed over 1 million masks to 31 provinces and cities in China such as Wuhan, Beijing, Szechuan, Tianjiang, Shanghai, Hunan, Xinjiang, Yunnan, Guizhou, Guangxi, Gansu, Hubei, Shandong, Zheijang, LionNing, Jiangsi and other cities.

WDG started with an initiative to help Malaysians in need by distributing masks at a donation ceremony on March 10, 2020. 

The delegation led by Dato Sri Liow Soon Hee handed over 500,000 masks according to the need of people like front liners, hospital staff and students. The ceremony of the donation at the press conference attracted the attention of the needy such as hospitals, the Royal Malaysian Police and the Malaysian Armed Forces.  Donations have been made to several District Police Headquarters (IPD) through the heads of the station.

The donations have also been made to Selayang Hospital through its director Dr Sakinah Alwi and to the Malaysian Armed Forces through Defense Minister Dato Sri Ismail Sabri who is also the Senior Minister (Security).

In addition to the recipients above, WDG has also made contributions to:

• Perak state Government

• Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital, Ipoh Perak – MCA Complaint Service Center

• SJK (C) Kheng Chee, Puchong.

With urgent intention to assist the Government of Malaysia in corporate responsibility, WDG has come forward to help.
