Gili Islands, Indonesia – Amongst all the disruptions of 2020, many professional divers have used the time to join PADI Course Director Holly Macleod and become professional scuba diving instructors. During the course of 2020 Holly Macleod has issued over 253Instructor level certifications comprising of Open Water Scuba Instructor, Emergency First Response and Speciality Instructor level ratings.
Candidates that took the PADI IDC Scuba Diving Instructor Development Course came from a huge variety of different countries including Indonesia (both Jakarta and Flores), India, Hong Kong, China, Poland, USA, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Holland, Italy, Sweden, South Africa, Brazil, Argentina, Germany, France, Australia, Korea, Portugal, Singapore, Canada and Greece and were all professional Divemasters traveling to Gili Trawangan to take training with recognized PADI Course Director Holly Macleod.
The program takes place at the only ever 5 Star PADI IDC Career Development Centre (CDC) to be established in Gili Trawangan with extensive dive training facilities; this combined with the effects of the Covid 19 pandemic provided an extremely spacious environment with very few other diving activities taking place. Therefore all required social distancing and regulatory requirements were easily achieved with minimal disruption to training.
Again in 2021 Platinum PADI Course Director Holly Macleod will receive the Platinum PADI Status and the Elite-300 Instructor Award making this the eighth year running for both of these prestigious awards. Providing future PADI Instructor candidates with the knowledge that Holly has recognition from the industry that highlights a level of quality few achieve within the recreational Instructor training division of the diving industry. This combined with having over 18 years direct industry experience working within a variety of global diving destinations including Honduras, Thailand, Australia, UK, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia & Singapore and having issued way over 3000 Instructor level certifications in the Gili Islands alone provides professional Divemasters with the knowledge and peace of mind they are taking the program with one of the industries most experienced Instructor trainers available.
During 2021 there will be 9 opportunities to join Holly Macleod on the PADI Scuba Diving Instructor Development Course (IDC) in the Gili Islands. These dates are scheduled throughout the year and the PADI IDC Indonesia Schedule is based around candidates being able to take the externally evaluated PADI Examinations, also based here in Gili Trawangan.
