Hawk Auto Group of St. Charles Donates $10,000 To DuPage Senior Citizens Council

Lombard, IL – February 16, 2021 – DuPage Senior Citizens Council (DSCC) receives $10,000 from Hawk Auto Group which owns Hawk Nissan and Hawk Ford in St. Charles. The donation helps fill the gap left by a reduction in funding from grants and individual donors and will help fund the services for seniors who are at risk in DuPage and Kane Counties.

“I saw a news segment on WGN-TV about the local Meals on Wheels program and we wanted to donate to DSCC to help”, said Gus Babalis, General Manager and Co-Owner of Hawk Auto Group. “So we decided to donate $10,000 to DSCC – $5,000 from each of our two dealerships.”

DSCC has been receiving donations and requests to help from many businesses in the area since the local news broadcast. Businesses looking to help can donate directly on the DSCC website or by contacting DSCC directly.

Babalis added, “We are currently talking with other car dealers in the area asking them to donate to DSCC so seniors who need a meal won’t have to go without.”

DSCC makes it easy to partner with local businesses who want to give back to their communities by offering several ways to donate. They also offer opportunities to volunteer to further help homebound seniors.
