Maxwell’s House of Abilities is set to hold its annual golf tournament, as part of its campaign to raise awareness about the individual living with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Maxwell’s House of Abilities Annual Golf Tournament will hold on October 8, 2021, at the Tour 18 Golf Course and feature special guest NFL Superbowl Championship & Legend Jay Schroeder. The tournament continues to garner attention, with the likes of Houston’s own Mattress Mack supporting Maxwell’s House of Abilities’ mission to help youth and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Maxwell’s House of Abilities is fondly remembered for its emphatic tagline “we take this DIS out of disability”. Autism is one of the global issues that continue to remain on the front burner due to its impact on the lives of individuals and their families as a common developmental issue. Despite the seemingly ugly picture and disturbing stats, research has shown that people with autism have exceptional talents that can be developed. Therefore, the team at Maxwell’s House of Abilities is looking to bring awareness to the strengths of those with Autism, while simultaneously dimming the light on their disabilities with the upcoming golf tournament.
The tournament aims to encourage people to donate to a laudable cause while having an amazing time on the golf course. The event will feature lots of exciting activities and prizes for participants and attendees. Ticket sales from the annual charity tournament will go to Maxwell’s House of Abilities to help provide educational support, therapy services, vocational training, job opportunities, and supplemental financial assistance for youth and adults diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The tournament as well as other initiatives by Maxwell’s House of Abilities has caught the attention of advocates, businesses, and individuals from all walks of life.
Maxwell’s House of Abilities offers an all-inclusive approach to supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The organization holds internship programs, designed to allow youth and adults to earn as they learn and improve different life skills.
Information about the golf tournament and tickets to the event can be gotten on Eventbrite. The team at Maxwell’s House of Abilities also hinted at hosting a poker tournament on October 9, 2021.
