The EntrepreNUers Network – a global network for and by female entrepreneurs – has recently announced and commenced plans to expand its involvement in the business space to include other mediums.
Founded earlier this year by university students Weilyn Chong (Princeton 24’) and Ali Debow (NYU Shanghai 24’), the network initially started out as a podcast where the pair would interview successful female entrepreneurs to learn more about various industries. Given the podcast’s applicability to entrepreneurs starting their business journeys, it’s absolutely no surprise that its launch was hugely successful – with the first 15 episodes featuring notable entrepreneurs including Amanda Pullinger, CEO of 100 Women in Finance and Katherine Humouth, Founder and CEO of Sheertex.
Having now racked up thousands of listeners and become a team of passionate Gen-Z entrepreneurs, the network has begun to branch out into other ventures to supplement the podcast – with initiatives such as a blog, local chapters at schools & universities and merchandise all to look forward to.
The short, sweet and rather enjoyable journey to this stage has been hugely important to the ultimate success of the network, with the original idea having been dreamt up when high school friends Ali and Weilyn realised there was a lack of support for young female entrepreneurs like themselves. Considering that they both epitomise the network’s target market, Weilyn and Ali have the benefit of understanding what their listeners want to hear and learn about, meaning the network is sure to serve the interests of its followers.
As co-founder and Princeton student, Weilyn Chong, has explained: “Our vision for the network is to be the world’s most acclaimed community for young female college entrepreneurs. From professional development to mentoring to a college chapter at every university and high school, The EntrepreNUers Network has and will not only shed light on the unique problems female entrepreneurs face but also foster collaboration among female entrepreneurs to create solutions. Our expansion down a number of different avenues allows us to do this to a far greater extent, making our community more accessible to a larger audience.”
Ali Debow elaborated upon her co-founder’s comment, remarking: “Ultimately, our goal is to create a community that embraces entrepreneurial spirit. In essence, we want to make stories of female founders accessible for everyone to shed light on upcoming female entrepreneurs. We want to redefine what entrepreneurship is and what it means.”
Though still in its early days, The EntrepreNUers Network looks to continue growing at the rapid rate it has thus far. With an amicable vision and a forward-thinking team behind them, it seems the network and its co-founders have a bright future ahead.
