The Black Queen of Country Music, Lea Sweet, Releases Her Eponymous Album with Great Acclaim

There is nobody else quite as sweet as the beautiful Lea Sweet. Dubbed as the Black Queen of Country Music, the rising musician has been making waves in the music industry with her positively unique sound and her lovable personality outside of music-making. Growing up in San Francisco, she planted her roots as a closet singer writing poetry at the ripe young age of nine years old, but never really started blooming as a songwriter until her early 20s when she learned to transpose her poetry into songs.

In the early days of her career, Lea Sweet produced three successful albums bringing an entirely new flavor to the country music scene. The renowned musician is a San Francisco Bay Area Grammy Member and a nine-time Music Award winner in her own right. She also won the 2019 NCEM Best Entertainer of the Year. Lea brings her massive audience sizzling live performances that are sure to captivate them and convert them into loyal fans.

Lea’s music blends the best of both country and rock and roll, seamlessly creating her own unique sound that’s distinctly from the Black Queen of Country Music alone. Her diverse range of music stems from her many talents in country, rock and soul. Her album entitled Black Queen of Country Music perfectly fuses all of her main genres into one, creating an entirely new experience for listeners worldwide.

Black Queen of Country Music features diverse musical styles from everlasting love songs to a smooth remix of Willie Nelson’s “Crazy.” Recently, she received multiple awards from the American Academy Association of Music and the Bay Area Music Awards such as Best New Country Artist, Best Jazz, Best Neo-Soul, Best Album, and she was also nominated for Entertainer of the Year.

Lea Sweet also had the opportunity to perform with various legendary celebrities in a tribute concert as they performed the very best of Tina Turner, Tammi Terell, The Supremes, The Vandellas, and The Marvelettes. In Nashville, Lea Sweet teamed up with famed musicians such as Troy Klontz, who is the guitarist for Brooks & Dunn, Jeff Silverman, who is Rick Springfield’s guitarist, J Cool V, who was Elvis Presley’s organist, and many more.

When Country Music Singer and Songwriter Lea Sweet wrote and produced her debut country CD, Black Queen of Country Music on Sony Orchard, a subsidiary of Sony Music, she joined the “Black Nashville” club, absent of diversity and inclusion.

“Black country singers have a hard time getting noticed and earning money in the industry, especially if you are born and raised in San Francisco. But I wouldn’t be true to myself or my art if I did not write and produce this country album,” said Lea Sweet.

Indeed, Lea Sweet is championing diversity and inclusion with her music and long-standing success. As she continues to rise within the music industry as a person of color, she hopes to serve as an inspiration for other dreamers and aspiring musicians. In the near future, she envisions herself opening up to the biggest names of country music such as Keith Urban, Brooks & Dunn, Taylor Swift, and Dolly Parton, doing duets with her fellow country legends.
