A group of physicians, scientists, researchers, and illustrators led by Columbia University alumnus and author Joseph H. Talbet introduces “The Illustrated Book of Medicine.” It’s a new book series that simplifies medical-related subject matters through the use of colorful images. According to its creators, the book aims to increase children’s interest in medical science. The books can also guide medical students and international doctors preparing for the US Medical Licensing Exam.
One of the publication’s titles is “The Illustrated Book of Medicine: Junior,” a coloring, activity, and medical material in one made for kids. It features ingenious color swatches where anatomical terminology is matched with different body part images. The book also has other titles like “Me, My Cells, and I”; “Scars that scar”; “The Making Of Me”; and “El Abecedario de Anatomia.”
The publication also has the COVID-19 series that explains the pandemic to kids – “COVID Takes NYC,” “Rona the Villain Virus,” and “Light at the End of the Tunnel.” The publication also has the title “Healthcare Superheroes” which teaches the importance of medical professionals.
Feedback for the book has completely endorsed its creativity, usefulness, and approach. Oksana Prysyazhnyuk, one of its customers said, “This book is wonderful! It introduces kids to the world of medicine in a fun and interactive way but still educational. I ordered two as gifts, and they arrived super fast and in perfect condition. I would highly recommend this book.”
