HOUSTON, TX – Currux Vision LLC (“CV”), the industry leading AI based Intelligent Transportation Systems (“ITS”) and solutions company today announced the results of a recently completed study by Rick Engineering Company designed to test the accuracy of 7 leading providers of passive pedestrian counting and detection/actuation capabilities. CV had the highest overall accuracy at 98% and the least false positives in one of the most difficult areas in traffic management making CV the top rated provider for this set of services.
The test was designed to evaluate counting, detection, and green light extension under varying conditions such as time of day, day of week, and extreme heat. All tests used exisiting traffic controllers and CV also used existing cameras. Controller and manual logs were used to evaluate the platforms’ performance.
Testing the latest technology is a step to implement autonomous and AI enabled, 7×24, Vision Zero solutions. CV has designed its safety services from the ground up to protect pedestrians and bicyclists – including real time alerts for speeding, red light running, near misses, “jaywalking” occurrences, green light extensions, wrong way movements, and mobility focused C-V2X RSU interactions.
