Helen Doron Global Network Provides Numerous Supports to Ukrainian Colleagues

The European members of the global educational franchise have offered housing, financial assistance, and more to Ukrainian refugees throughout the network.

Known globally for its widespread emphasis on unequaled community mentorship, acknowledged by several global awards, the Helen Doron network in Europe has provided continuous support in many ways to their Ukrainian colleagues and affected network community. The international franchise’s members have offered housing and financial assistance to students, teachers, franchisees, and their families and volunteered to help out in sorting the chaos on the borders. Both offline and online, free English lessons have been offered to Helen Doron English students to maintain a semblance of normalcy in their young lives. Some displaced teachers have found employment opportunities in countries with Helen Doron Learning Centres. Many teachers and franchisees are reaching out to do what they can to help through online forums and networking to help find Ukrainian refugees’ solutions.

CEO and Founder Helen Doron elaborates, “In good times and challenging times, we are all one big family. It is important to remember that we educate our students to understand acceptance, tolerance, compassion, kindness, generosity, and empathy in all of our lessons and capaigns. We should all use every opportunity we have to lead by example. In franchise systems, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. We are many individuals but with shared visions and goals.”

She continues, “I’m encouraged by our franchisees and teachers who opened their learning centres and homes to their colleagues from Ukraine and are doing whatever they can to help, including financial assistance and job placement when possible. Students from Helen Doron schools around the world displayed artwrk and sent and posted online letters of caring and support, upholding the values of our network. Throughout this challenging situation, the caring of our students, teachers, and franchisees has been a bright light in this dark crisis.”
