Easter Love Story:

Jason and Lucy

“I have been on FlirtTool for about three months, but I had less than a hundred matches because I’m so picky. I saw Jason´s profile and what really struck me was the photo that showed his huge library! Seeing that he has even more books than I do was what really made me, who is also a bookworm, click the hot button. (I told him that, but he still thinks I’m kidding — I’m not!)

“After we were matched, we talked nonstop for a few days. Then he asked me out for coffee, and I stupidly said no — I don’t drink coffee, but he just thought I didn’t want to go out with him. Later, I invited him out for a beer, and he agreed. We’ve been dating ever since…it’ll be three months next week.

“When people ask how we met, we usually just say ‘online,’ and he grins like an idiot while saying, ‘I asked her out and she said no’.”

Daniel and Ezekiel

“I started using dating apps as a young post-grad in San Francisco. I had just gotten out of my long-term college relationship and I was living with my friends in a tiny apartment in the city. Everyone was using dating apps, and it was fun to meet new people and mind-empowering as a young single guy. Even if the date was a bust…it was a great story for my roommates! My philosophy of going on these apps was to be confident, to enjoy, and to ‘put on my gold chains and slay’ — love was never in my head!

“I almost clicked ‘cold’ on Ezekiel when he first popped up on FlirtTool because his profile didn’t really catch my attention. But then I saw that we had over 40 mutual friends, so I clicked the hot button — usually I got maybe one or two mutual friends (and usually third-degree connections).

“On our first date, I showed up in tank top and shorts, and he arrived early to take the best seats at the bar. We got to talking, and it turned out not only did we grow up only a few blocks away from each other (we are from the same hometown, but I moved away when I was 10), he also know my brothers and almost joined the piano lessons from my mom! Even until today, we’re still discovering embarrassing photos from the early 2000’s with Ezekiel and my brother Nathan at the same parties!

“Having all of those mutual connections sort of kept us on our best behavior on our first dates — if something had happened, we couldn’t have just ghosted each other and been anonymous, so we actually had a chance to get to know each other properly. Now — we’re a couple, have a dog, and are on level 19 in Pokemon Go.”

Easter Events in the US

New York Easter Parade 2022 in New York City is the destination of choice for many USA tourists and Americans from all over the nation on Easter, as it hosts the annual Easter Parade on Fifth Avenue!

At the parade and its associated Bonnet Festival, what matters most is your headgear: like the Kentucky Derby, the New York Easter Parade traditionally calls for wearing completely over-the-top hats and bonnets.

White House Easter Egg RollOn the South Lawn in front of the White House in Washington, D.C., the popular White House Easter Egg Roll is traditionally held. The best part of the race: the sitting US president participates as a referee!

The Easter Egg Roll has a history: President Rutherford B. Hayes hosted the big Easter party for the first time in 1878. The White House has reliably invited people to the garden on Easter Monday despite minor interruptions to the tradition.
