Zonder: Collect the World is a real-world exploration game designed by Zonder Studios, a tech startup based in Detroit, Michigan. Players can earn XP and level up for visiting over 100 million real-world locations, including restaurants, shops, parks and museums – more than 150 countries worldwide.
Players can collect real-life attractions and places they visit while building a personal Travel Profile that contains all their accomplishments.
“Travelers everywhere should have a comprehensive way to see their lifetime travel progress,” says Harry Yang, founder and CEO of Zonder Studios. “Even 10 years into the smartphone age, we’ve never had a good way to keep track of all the countries, cities and landmarks we’ve seen. So I created Zonder to help you visualize that progress – and make exploring more fun by turning it into a game.
Users can build their personal Travel Profile, filling it with hundreds of travel-themed achievements and adding every country, city and place they’ve visited to their lifetime collection. In addition, they’ll be able to share their favorite places and experiences, as well as show off their travel prowess in a variety of leaderboards and optional competitive challenges.
One popular game feature is the Hometown Competition, where players compete for their city by visiting local businesses and attractions. The Landmarks Challenge is another exciting activity where people attempt to visit as many of the world’s biggest landmarks as they can, ranging from the Grand Canyon to the Eiffel Tower.
In addition to being an exciting game to play while on vacation, Zonder was created to be an all-in-one digital travel companion, offering a whole host of benefits for travelers of all types. These features include an automatic travel journal so users can keep track of all the places they’ve been without having to take out their phone, as well as an innovative way to share their favorite travel experiences without having to upload photos.
