Professionals over the years have faced various career challenges. Many of them feel siloed, overworked, and underpaid. The teaching industry is no different. Educators are leaving the classroom after realizing they can earn more with less stress in other fields.
To solve this problem, educator turned entrepreneur Erin Cross developed systems through her company, The Key Factor. She coaches professionals and educators to transform their passion into profitable businesses thereby creating the life they envision for themselves.
“According to the Wall Street Journal1, last year, at least 300,000 educators left the classroom because they understood their knowledge, skills, and experience were transferrable to other industries. The educational system has been used to pigeonhole teachers into one area of service; however, they can translate their experience to other industries,” said The Key Factor CEO and Founder, Erin Cross.
The Key Factor offers courses and programs for participants to turn their hobby, passion, or skill sets into educational products. The tiered Exodus! Program has different formats and timelines to help individuals create educational products.
Exodus! Mini consists of self-paced courses with topics ranging from creating a business or self-publishing a book to writing curriculum and much more.
The Exodus! Mastermind is an 8-week group coaching program that teaches enrollees how to create and sell educational products with access to a community for accountability in reaching your goals.
Lastly, there’s the Exodus! Man ifesto which is a 12-week one-on-one coaching program tailored to meet business goals and provides personalized guidance and support to generate consistent profits.
As a Chicago-based educator, business coach, and author, Erin has a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in EdTech from Louisiana State University. Since 2016, Erin has conducted in-person and virtual trainings for various agencies and organizations. In 2019, she published her first book Beatrice Loves to Move and launched The Key Factor to help individuals unlock and fulfill their purpose by turning their passions into educational products.
