ProScale Legal: Why Up to a Third of Health Practitioners are Considering Leaving Their Clinical Jobs (and What They are Doing Instead)

Healthcare professionals call it quits en masse, leaving their traditional clinical work or planning to do so soon. For example, McKinsey & Company reports that in a November 2021 survey, 32% of registered nurses told the survey company that they might “leave their current direct-patient-care role.” That marked a 10% increase in less than ten months.

According to the American Medical Association, in January 2022, one in five physicians said they would likely leave their current practice within two years, while one in three said they would reduce work hours.

Jay and Wendy Razzouk, founders of ProSCALE Legal, routinely hear the stories of physicians, chiropractors, dentists, dieticians, nurses, pharmacists, psychologists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals ready to leave their cherished careers.

Many people believe a professional would make that decision because of “stress” and “burnout.”  While that may be true for some individuals, Jay and Wendy believe those “usual culprits” misdiagnose what’s happening.

Most health experts Jay and Wendy encounter are ready and eager to work hard.  These clinicians want to move on because they desire “something more.” Many say they want to;

–  Serve clients who want to heal and are willing to make an effort.
–  Spend less time buried in paperwork and more time spreading healing and living a healthier lifestyle for themselves.
–  Make a significant impact in the remaining years of their life, serving clients anywhere in the country without needing a professional license in every state.
–  Have more liberty to speak their mind and be true to their deep beliefs.
–  Work from home (or on the road), doing what they love, on their schedule, on their terms.

Legal concerns often stand in the way of many experts pursuing their bigger dreams.

“I love what Wendy and I do. We often start with a client who wants to make an impact in the world but is stuck on “can I” and “how to do I.” In as little as 5 minutes, we can help them discover an answer that gives them the confidence to move forward boldly,” says ProSCALE co-founder Jay Razzouk.

There are three costly legal mistakes that health coaches often make. Jay and Wendy reveal what those are – and how to avoid them – in their masterclass built specifically for practitioners building a scalable online coaching business. Seeing the massive need for this valuable information, they made their master class and other resources available for free to impact-driven health experts.

Wendy saw her mom lose 80 lbs in time to fulfill her dream of fitting back into her wedding dress for her 35th anniversary.  Another family member was able to reverse his diabetes, cholesterol, and blood pressure, causing his doctor to discontinue his meds for all three – and about a year later, his VA provider declared they could not send him any more test strips because he was no longer diabetic.

“Seeing these transformations, I realized I didn’t have to let my genetics dictate my life and health – I could make informed and empowered decisions to create the healthier, happier future I wanted. The most effective way I can serve is by building up other experts and leaders to get their message out and connect with people who want a transformation in their life.”

This mission is very appreciated by practitioners going into coaching, like Jackie Lyn Velasco, MS, RPh, CEO, who shared, “I have been working with Jay and Wendy from ProSCALE Legal for the past six months, and I can honestly say that they have been a great help for my health coaching business.”

Traditional legal services are often costly, cringy, and counterproductive. Jay and Wendy take the fear out of the law and turn it into a powerful ally to help set businesses up for long-term success.

ProSCALE Legal is not a law firm.  It offers tools and resources to help health professionals transition into the coaching space with clarity, efficiency, and peace of mind. These resources help practitioners and coaches;

–  Leverage legal to help boost profits and create a standout brand,
–  Assess risk like a corporate executive,
–  Implement industry best practices for operating at a national scale,
–  Deploy systems to streamline success,
–  Avoid mistakes that can cost practitioners their licenses (or get coaches convicted of practicing without a license), and
–  Protect and build a lasting legacy.
